The Challenge: The Federal Railroad Administration’s internal communications were hindered by an outdated, disorganized SharePoint platform that was being misused as a makeshift intranet. The agency needed a complete overhaul of its digital workspace to make critical resources, daily announcements, and productivity tools easily accessible to its workforce.
The Solution: I led the UI/UX design for a complete migration from the legacy SharePoint system to a custom .NET application. By completely restructuring the information architecture and establishing a modernized visual identity, we transformed a cluttered repository into “FRANET”—an intuitive, dashboard-driven central hub for agency employees.
My Role:
- UI/UX Design & Information Architecture
- Custom .NET Interface Prototyping
- Visual Identity & Custom Graphics Production
The Impact: Successfully modernized the agency’s internal communications ecosystem, dramatically improving user navigation and ensuring that critical employee resources were intuitively organized and highly visible.
