I have built many websites in my career as a web developer but this project holds a special place in my heart. An equine artist client of mine living in New Mexico introduced me to Christine Janks, the owner of the Carson Springs Wildlife Foundation. Christine wanted to commission me to create a new website to help raise money by collecting online donations and bring awareness to her endangered animals.
I quickly realized that I couldn’t do her foundation justice with the images that she sent me. We came up with agreement for me to fly over to Gainesville Florida and take photos myself in exchange for travel / accommodation expenses.Although this decade old website is no longer live, I thought that this was an important project to share. After all, it’s not everyday that a Lion is named after you!
Meet the Samers
The Website
Before all websites were a word press site, web designers used to build everything from scrach.
Workflow
Adobe Lightroom was critical in the capture/sorting/editing of the 1000+ photos that were taken that weekend.
