The Challenge: The Federal Hours of Service Act (HSL) outlines strict safety and operational time limits for railroad personnel. The challenge was taking these dense, highly regulated legal codes and making them instantly accessible, readable, and actionable for active rail workers deployed out in the field.
The Solution: I led the UI/UX design for a dedicated cross-platform mobile application to serve as a digital compliance manual. Using Adobe XD, I architected and prototyped a clean, intuitive interface that organized complex freight, passenger, and dispatching regulations into a clear, easily navigable mobile format.
